Just downloaded the new version of VLC, I wish I had not, but I had to because every program I had would open VLC's media center when clicked on.
This new version is even worse I click on a video file and all my video files start showing up on the home page. This is a nightmare for parents!
So I go into the setting and tell it to ignore those folders and it doesn't play the video now.
Its been over 20 years and I have never had an issue with Video Lan but I can not use this.
So I cam here to see if there are older versions of VLC I can download?
If not I guess I will just have to go with something else.

AFAIK the stable update has no such changes
If you want your problem to be solved :* First read troubleshooting guide VSG:Main
* Always provide verbose LOGS ! (command line or from gui)
* Always check your issue against a developer build from Nightly Build of VLC
* Tell us when your problem is solved !
