I keep getting the error when trying to play a BLURAY disk:

Your input can't be opened: VLC is unable to open the MRL 'dvd:///H:\'. Check the log for details.

Can't find a log TO check

I have downloaded and installed the two files that various sights say you have to download and installed them. (WHY doesn't VLC incorporate them when your installing the pgm?) but still unable to play the Bluray disk.

Can't find a log TO check

If it matters the disk is Celtic Woman Ancient Land.

From windows command line or linux or macos terminal, launch vlc with options -vv and --logfile=file

  • Windows example: vlc.exe -vv --logfile=c:\vlclog.txt
  • Linux example: vlc -vv --logfile=vlclog.txt, or vlc -vv 2>&1 > logfile.txt
