Is it possible to assign shortcuts to interactive zoom?

I use the interactive zoom a lot and I find the following tedious.

tools > Effects & Filters > Video Effect > Geometry > ✅Interactive zoom.

Is there any way to assign a shortcut?
Or is there a way to create an extension in Lua to achieve this?
(I've read https://github.com/videolan/vlc/tree/master/share/lua but didn't understand it)
