How to deal with noisy DBTV signal

Postby couchspud » 21 Apr 2021 07:03

I'm running a quad channel digital TV using DV Scheduler (V5.75) to feed streams to VLC Media player (V3.0.12) and some of the channels
have a weak signal that I can't selectively improve on without saturating the other channels. As a result there is occasionally
quite a bit of digital noise on the weak channels causing the video to freeze while the audio continues even with just a
single channel running.
I would then have to select "video/disable" and then "video/track 1" to re-enable the video.
I looking for suggestions as to what settings will at least minimise this. Would be nice if the video automatically re-commenced
after the noise interruption but that might be asking for too much.

What settings do you think would help?
