Paused stream can not be resumed

Postby reini122 » 07 Jan 2021 19:03

Hello,
I'm using VLC 3.0.11 on Windows 10 to stream a online radio. If I get a call via MS Teams it seems that teams invokes "Play/Pause" when I answer the call and it resumes the media when the call is finished.

During online radio I'd prefer that instead of "pause" the stream is stopped and then resumed to be "live" again later on. Also if the call last for a long time the stream can not be resumed, I guess the buffer is too small then and the stream stops playing after a while.

Is there any option or key binding available which I can use to stop the stream and start if again automatically?

Thanks in advance!

No.

The player has no ways to know that the input is a live stream, and if the user prefers to timeshift or stay live. In most cases, it is preferable to pause/resume.
