This bug occurs for many versions of windows including the latest, and also in mac OS (I have only tested it with an older version of macOS, but I believe it is OS independent)
To reproduce: play any x265 10bit color video with croppadd padding.
Expected: black/uncolored padding
Actual: green/purple padding

Note the green bar at the bottom with a thin purple line in between
Version: VLC3.0.11
Hardware: tested on multiple devices including macbook, ryzen desktop (4k monitor, nvidia 1070ti graphics), intel laptop (intel graphics)
reproducibility: occurs every time with any x265 10bit color video
codec: x265
