Mark videos on the fly with a shortcut?

hi,
is there any way to mark or favourite videos on the fly while your watching them?
ideally I want to be able to favourite or delete items with a shortcut as I watch them with VLC but the closest thing Ive found is PotPlayer which allows this.
Any help or ideas would be great,
