For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

mpga or mp3?

Postby GeBu » 29 Dec 2005 10:14

Hi, I have a mp3s and when I play them by VideoLAN it shoews me "mpga".
On this page: http://wiki.videolan.org/index.php/Codec is written: "(acodec=mpga or mp2a) MPEG audio (recommended for portability)"
And here: http://wiki.videolan.org/index.php/MPEG_audio: ""acodec=mpga" (for Layer 1)"
I do not uderstand it.
