VLC on Amaz Firestick won't playlist rtsp

When saving playlist of rtsp address using Android ver VLC, works great.
Using Firestick download of VLC, I can play rtsp feed OK, but when I save it into playlist, it will never play the feed. Just sits there w/ blank video showing motion controls, but no way to play, or edit address, or figure any way to resolve issue.
Help...
I must be missing something here....???
