VLC on PrimeTV

I have several movies saved on my laptop using VLC. Is there a cloud service that is supported so I can watch them on my FireTV stick? I downloaded them to my laptop using VLC and I see that there is a VLC app on FireTV. I spoke with a rep from Amazon, he was not helpful. I am NOT tech savvy so pls be gentle. lol
