Lorex CRF files playing without audio

I have an issue with CRF files that has been confounding me for years. My Lorex cameras generate .CRF files. (Windows identifies them as: CMVRecordFile) They play back with no audio on VLC for both Mac and PC.
Here's a link to an unadulterated CRF file taken of my roof deck: http://www.tedhts.com/064726.crf At 6:48:40 there is thunder (and some general background noise like traffic and rain throughout the clip). This is audible when playing back on the terrible L-Play software from Lorex, which is next to useless, but not on VLC.
Anyone have any ideas about this? I'd really appreciate any help! Many thanks, in advance.

Do you know the codec used?

I don’t know. I have a ticket open with Lorex (the manufacturer of the security cameras that produce these CRF files), and asked them. However, their tech support has been unable to provide any information about the files - since April. I did send them your question, but I wouldn’t hold out much hope of a coherent response.
I sure do appreciate you looking at this file. I have a NAS filled with them, and no way to play them back with audio. It’s so frustrating.

Codec seems some PCM but this does not exist in standard TS, not provides registration or descriptors.
There's no way for a player to identify the codec in a standard way, neither parameters.

Is there a way to convert these into video files with audio that can then be played on a standard player?

If we can't recronise the format, you can't convert either.
The only way is to hardcode a format in a tool for those specific files.

VLC option?

Perhaps this is a project for the VLC consulting team? I'd gladly pay to get access to these video files. I have a NAS filled with them.

If you need your own modified code, vlc is open source, or have companies listed on videolan's website do it for you.

Gosh, I did send an email to VideoLabs, but didn't hear back. Do you know which consultants/companies specialize in dealing with non-standard video files like the CRF that I'm stuck with? I really don't even know where to begin. Many thanks, if so.
