Showing filename in playlist instead of metadata

When I put files in my playlist, many of them show the exact same name. This I believe is due to them having the same filename in the metadata.
These files are videos. MP4 files at the moment. How do I get my filese to show up in VLC playlist as their actual file names that they are named on my computer? I cant figure out how to delete this metadata info so that VLC cant use this info, but through all the reasearch I've done, I've not found a way to do something as simple as telling VLC to just show the file name of the file while its in the playlist.

I can get it to show while its playing but thats it. I want ALL files in the playlist to show the file name that they are named on my computer

any help is greatly appreciated as this is really annoying
