Desperate musician

Hello- my first post.
I realise that this isn't a ' User ' forum as such- but I've looked everywhere for help with this and can't find it.

I'm making music vids to upload - during the virus lockdown- and VLC is my default player. Quite by accident, in fooling around with the editing features, I stumbled upon the perfect settings for what I'm doing- but they are only reproduced in VLC.

Can I save the VLC effects as a video I can upload ? The effects I want to save are ' Posterize ', ' Mirror ' and ' Water effect '.

Searching around the 'net I'm getting the impression that other folks have also been wanting to do this but the VLC developers have avoided making it a feature. Is that correct ?

Thanks for the response- but the ' solutions ' don't work. Perhaps the developers could make an announcement when they've come up with a user-friendly method. I'm not wasting any more time on it as it stands.

The conversion of videos is indeed very difficult and error prone.

It's possible, can do almost everything you might want, but it fells like hard labor.

And don't forget to untick "apply filters" in the sout menu when you are done, or *all* videos you download/convert will have the filters applied.
What would be nice is a set of profiles, like "Just view it" or "read from network stream and rotate by 90 degrees".

And keyboard shortcuts for basic things like rotating would also be nice...

Load a video file, adjust and apply filters visually, then transcode the video with selected filters:
Media > Convert/Save... or Stream... > select/browse the video file again > Convert or Stream > ...
Create/edit a transcoding profile where you enable related filters: Video codec > Filters: Mirror, Posterize, Ripple.
Set Encoding parameters:

Save and select the profile. Start conversion.
