Sout chain called from record button

How can I determine the sout chain configuration used by the GUI when hitting the "record button". I've tried enabling and searching the log file, but I don't find any reference to sout in that file. I'm trying to start a recording from the command line and I'd like to know what settings are used by the record button. I find that using the record button, metadata are stored in the file and when using the command line, these metadata are lost. If it makes a difference, I'm trying to record a multicast stream to a file.
