Traditional Chinese MP3 song name cannot be displayed properly

Postby georgech » 29 Jan 2020 02:41

I guess that VLC player is not working properly with traditional Chinese song names. Those song names may be encoded by unicode. And, they are not displayed properly in VLC player right now. Can you fix the problem to display unicode filenames properly? Thank you.

It does work properly if tags are UTF-16 encoded.

VLC supports Chinese and Japanese metadata in MP3 just fine if they are encoded correctly. Adequate fonts must obviously be installed in the OS.
