is it possible to (horizontal) mirror (not rotate) a video with VLC media player?

Settings - Preferences - Video - Filters - enable "Video transformation filter".
Settings - Preferences - Video - Filters - Transformation - as "Transform type" select "Flip horizontally".

Save and start your movie.
