"Random" - not really.

I have VLC on a RasPi.
I use it to play MP3 files for me.
I have a list of (oh, the list doesn't tell you how many are in the list.) Quite a few. More than 100.
RANDOM playback leaves a lot to be desired.
About every 3 songs it is a repeat of a song already heard.
And this is early on when playback starts. Not like after 8 hours of playing.
Any particular reason the random seed generator is so bad?
