Record only records 1 second

So I am trying to use record to make a clip of a video, which I have done before and for some reason it only saves the last 1s of the recording and not the rest of it.
Any help is appreciated.

Well I tried updating it and resetting preferences and nothing worked, ended up using windows 10 photos to make my clip
