Added audio won't play outside of VLC media player

I'm super new to editing (2 whole days) and am having trouble with adding sound to my videos. Everything works fine until I open it in another player or upload it to youtube, then the audio won't play, just video.
I take drone footage, add it to VLC, add music and save it. It works perfect in VLC but the audio won't play in any other format.
