Recording has no sound...

So, I want to record a 10 second clip out of a tv show I dl'd. I hit the record button to start the recording, then hit it again to stop it. When I play back the clip, there is no sound. Any ideas?

Hi, I've the same problem.
I have Win 10 x64 and VLC 3.0.7.1 Vetinari.
The problem: when I try to record any section of my video (with red record button) and then I want to play the section just recorded, no sound is heard!
Why???
My audio card is ok, please help

Ops... sorry I would rectify the problem. Unfortunately it happens only with an AVI file whose properties I don't know. From all the other files I can instead record audio ...

Anyone found a solution? I'm having the same problem, with .AVI files...The recording has no sound track.
