VLC opening files on protected folders

Hi guys,
I have a unusual issue on my company laptop:
On my new Win10 laptop my company -for data safety reasons- installed a SW that doesn’t allow to write on removable devices (both USB and SD).
To save space on the HD I stored all my mp3s on a SD, but when VLC try opening each of these files I get a system alert about a tentative to write on the protected card.
Of course VLC (3.0.6 Vetinari) is installed on the HD, and if I play a file saved in the HD there aren't problems.
So, how can a set VLC options to avoid that the program save ANY kind of setting or info in the mp3 file or in the containing folder?
For your info, with my previous company laptop (running with the same protection SW and same VLC version but with Win7) I never experienced this issue... but I don't think this is a matter of Windows version..
Please let me know if you need additional info; I'm new in the forum, I hope I respected all forum's rules...
Many thanks to everybody can help me!
Bye, Andrea
