year .. dts 5.1 surrouind on music dvd works after some tweaking just fine.
just not an mkv files, they are just stereo and thats it

somebody know how to solve this ?

More info needed:
What is your OS ?
What is your VLC version ?
What is your audio output ?
What is your hardware ? Every hardware.

In any case, please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.
