I've just upgraded to VLC 3.0.5. Unfortunately, the very first bug I've found is that taking snapshots from mkv videos and DVDs (but not for example avi videos) does not work anymore: nothing happens.

VLC player does not show the DVD subtitle track (hungarian track) on my ACER Aspire 5315 laptop. On the Dell Optiplex 760 deskstop VLC plays the DVD normally. Other player (eg. KMPlayer) shows the subtitle on the Aspire laptop. What sould I set in the VLC to play the subtitle? I use VLC v3.05.

I've just upgraded to VLC 3.0.5. Unfortunately, the very first bug I've found is that taking snapshots from mkv videos and DVDs (but not for example avi videos) does not work anymore: nothing happens.

I am also experiencing this problem with 3.0.5 for .mkv and .mp4 videos; .avi videos are ok. I found that by changing snapshot
format from "png" to "jpg", snapshot would work for .mkv and .mp4 videos.

However, for .mkv and .mp4 videos, on-screen display (OSD) of pathname for snapshot "jpg" format file IS NOT displayed as
snapshot file is saved to disk!! For .avi videos, pathname for snapshot "png" OR "jpg" format file IS displayed as snapshot
file is saved to disk.

I'm using VLC 3.0.5 under Windows 7 Pro SP1.

I answer my quiestion: changing to VLC 3.0.3, the subtitle track play is working.

When attempting to play DVDs (VBO file type - for example, Toy Story):
- It takes a long time to load (get the construction cone for at least 30 seconds before seeing anything on the screen)
- The audio is scratchy/stuttering
- The video is distorted

Info:
- OS = Windows 10 Home, version 1803, build 17134.472
- Device = Dell Inspiron 7573 laptop x64
- VLC Media Player = 3.0.5 Vetinari

I've tried changing the Video Output Module (I've tried every single one) but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

This is anamorphic, not subtitles issue, I would say.

Hi, I've never had this issue earlier. I've just tried with VLC 3.0.7 and it's still present. It happens with MKVs and DVDs. Or is there anything I can try?
