Multichannel video support

Hi,

I'm wondering if VLC supports multichannel video. I remember blu ray disc and DVDs players that have support for "Angle" to watch the same video from a different point of view. Like a secondary video for the same audio.

Can I play such videos with VLC?
Can I encode such videos with VLC ?

Hi,

Yes VLC supports multichannel video, but I don't know how you can encode them.

Thank you for the response. Have you come across any sources that I can try out? Have you used it? How would I switch between channels?

Do you mean a different video track or playing multiple video track ? for the first one, you can select the video track in video->video track.

I though you were mentioning the second one, but for the first one you usually find these samples when looking for HDR samples. They sometime have both the HDR and SDR video tracks.
