Anchoring the "Now Playing" to one spot on the playlist

Postby nahmaz » 26 Aug 2018 04:44

I'm using VLC to play my music, and I'm using Xsplit to capture the song information while streaming. The problem is, on playlist view, the "currently playing" will either be at the top of the playlist or bottom respectively.

Now I know why it happens. Basically, if the previous song was below the next random song, "currently playing" will be at the top of the list like this https://i.imgur.com/E1Ig9B6.png (Xsplit display at the bottom, it's showing the correct song). BUT if the previous song was above the next random song, it'll be at the bottom of the list https://i.imgur.com/k0w078u.png (again Xsplit capture at the bottom, but displaying the wrong song).

What I'm looking for is a work around for this. I can only capture a set part of this window in Xsplit and it's not feasible to change up the location after every song. This is not a huge deal obviously, but I've scoured the options and spent some time searching for a solution to no avail. Having an option to anchor "currently playing" on the playlist would be great.
