How to detect "sudden change" in 700 files

Postby moshiko » 19 Aug 2018 21:24

Hi,

I have a surveillance camera that records H264 video file every ~15minutes to a file.
I need to inspect a week of recordings, which is about 700 files and to detect any "sudden change" in the image.
Ideally, this sudden change would be the thief that visited the place, but it might be that he/them avoided the recorded area.
So, even a sudden change in lighting or so is relevant as it can indicate the exact time he/they entered.

Can you advise how to use VLC for this task?
Watching 670x15min files is practically impossible for me.
I would like to run some program instead to detect any such sudden changes in the picture and point me to the relevant locations.

Thank you!

I'm not aware of any way to do this with VLC currently.
