Old UI

Postby Scorp1us » 13 Jul 2018 16:04

Having used VLC for about 13 years now, I am not liking the new behavior.

When I double click to play a video, it plays (ok so far) but when it completes, it closes the video and drops me into some playlist UI.
1. Can I get it to just keep the window open?
1a. Leave it on the last frame?
1b. Leave it on the first frame?
2. And why does the playlist list all the video's i've viewed?
2a.I don't want it to list anything, except maybe the video I just watched.

Many thanks.

EDIT: My use case is I am altering aspects of the video (Window > Video Effects and Video > Post Processing) and when I watch it to the end, I've got to play-pause to get to the view menu. I also want to adjust parameters and seek backwards. This play-pause is very annoying. When I hit play, the pause button is no where near where I clicked and I have to mouse to the bottom of the screen. I'm fiddling with the parameters about 10 times per video.
