Regarding VLC version 3.0.3 (installed by 'vlc-3.0.3-win64.exe') running in Windows 10-1709.

In my investigations I found 3 application dumps:
18/07/04 16:11 c:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\AppHang_vlc.exe_0c55fa2cd312d3b63278cc185c050fa5765bab5_b6e0eb51_11570697

VLC does hang quite a bit (during which the BD drive thrashes) when I pause playback of blu-ray movies. Is anyone interested in looking into the respective 'Report.wer' files?

In the 'Report.wer' files, I found 2 entries that are interesting:
Wow64Host=34404
NsGroup=windows8

Is VLC using Wow64?
Is VLC using the Windows-8 API and/or functions?

Would it be better to install the 32-bit version of VLC?

PS: What about running in Windows 8 compatibility? Should I perhaps run VLC in Windows 8 compatibility?

We cannot use .wer, sorry.

You should use 64bits.
