Hi Support VLC team from all the world,

I am having an issue with a local streaming, i am sending a RSTP streaming from a encoder (HDMI to ethernet ) to a Laptop with VLC media player locally via wireless.

The first time a ran the streaming, it took only 4 hour of streaming with 2000 ms of file caching, Disc caching, Network caching; Then i change all parameters to 15000 ms and improve the streaming to 18 hours of streaming.

The thing here is how can performance my VLC settings in order to have almost no pause of streaming ?

Wich is the max value of caching during the streaming on VLC?

My laptop technical details: Dell latitude, 8 Ghz memory ram, win 8.1, no internet only locally and working only to receive the stream from the encoder.

It would be a pleasure to hear your advices, the streaming that i am sending its for a very important process.

Sincerely,

Romel R. Rosero

avcodec error: hardware acceleration picture allocation failed

Can you try without hardware decoding, please?

Do you mean:

Simple preferences -> inputs/codecs Settings -> hardware accelerated decoding = disable ?
