Recording dash file gives only audio-file, no video

Postby bastri » 27 Feb 2018 17:23

I tried de play a .mpd-file (https://remix.lwc.vrtcdn.be/remix/5903d ... x.ism/.mpd) and this gives no problems but when I tried to record the video by the 'record-button'...There was created a mp4 file with only audio-files in it. The video isn't nowhere to be seen.
The video codec is: H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) (avc3)

I have tried different convertion profiles, but this didn't help. What can be the reason? What have I to do? Is there an alternative for vlc?

increase sout-mux-caching
:!: If you want your problem to be solved :
* First read troubleshooting guide VSG:Main
* Always provide verbose LOGS ! (command line or from gui)
* Always check your issue against a developer build from Nightly Build of VLC
* Tell us when your problem is solved !

Thanks for the quick reply... but it didn't worked out for me. I increased the sout-mux-cahing in the gui and in the commandline to 100 000 but it didn't give a solution. Ultimately I used in firefox the flash video player to download the file, but then I have to download the whole file and not just that part I wanted.

To help you, we need messages, to completely understand what your problems is.
To fix this, please be sure before you start the playback to:
  1. Open: Tools -> Messages.
  2. Set Verbosity to 2
  3. Start playback to reproduce your issue
  4. Save text in a file or copy into clipboard
  5. Then paste the full resulting log here between [code]and[/code] (or use Pastebin.com if it's too long)
Also don't forget to name your Operating System and provide the VLC media player version.
