Something I hate about the VLC playlist

Some of these are promised to come sometime in the future, but here I list my most-hated list on the VLC playlist:
- the playlist doesn't remember my last played list (or last opened files at all)
- when chosing the playlist from the taskbar, only the playlist come in front, not the player itself (specific for Windows I guess)
- I can't 'dock' the playlist to the player, I would like to be able to resize the playlist so that it has same width as the player (like in WinAmp)
- I can't edit the tags of my MP3
- I have few ways of sorting the playlist

Maybe someone would say VLC isn't a music player, but I believe it has strong potential to be a good one.

For the "docking", you might want to try the skins system. Altough its playlist interface is far from perfect yet. For example, it does not offer much sorting methods.

Editing of MP3 tags is not planned. Remembering playlist is, but we don't have an ETA
