I have been having problems lately with my player, it seems that the cursor rarely if ever disappears when I play a video. I have tried all settings, reset all preferences and also reinstall the programme but nothing seem to have worked. Any advice? I'm running on windows 10

If the cursor doesn't hide after the set delay in fullscreen mode, tap the 'F' key to exit fullscreen and tap it again to toggle back to fullscreen - the cursor will hide.
