Distorted video playback

`Allo there.
New here so thanks for having me. =)
I`m getting distorted video playback on VLC and just wondered if a reinstall will fix the problem?
Worked fine up until a few days ago and all settings are as they were (default)

What is your OS ?
What is your VLC version ?
What is your hardware ? Every hardware.
Does it happen with any type of file ?

And a screenshot of what is happening is welcome.

BTW try to enable hardware acceleration.
