Mouse cursor doesn't hide or randomly does and doesnt

My mouse cursor refuses to hide consistently, sometimes it works fine, but 70% of the time or so it will stay showing for some reason. I've tried the "Hide cursor and fullscreen controller after x milliseconds" option, changing it all over the place, but nothing works.

What is your OS ?
What is your VLC version ?
What is your hardware ? Every hardware.

VLC 2.2.6
Intel i7-6700k, MSI GTX 1080ti Duke OC, MSI Z170A Gaming M5 motherboard, 2x16GB DDR4. 3x2TB HDDs, 2x500GB SSD, Corsair H100i CPU AIO Water Cooler.

It should be fixed in VLC v3.0.0
nightly build.
