VLC on USB-stick for showing photos on standalone monitor

Postby Freggie » 31 May 2017 21:21

Hi all,

I want to show photos on a standalone pc monitor. Would VLC on a USB-stick provide a working solution?
I do not want a digital photo frame because for my goal they are too small, have just a limited resolution and.....there isn't a real square one on the market.

I'm planning to buy the EIZO EV2730Q monitor but want to have a working process in advance.
On a square monitor both landscape and portrait pictures will have the same size.

Thanks for your kind assistance !

If everybody uses the same OS, it might be possible. But VLC isn't that great as a photo viewer.
