Is it possible to display the subtitle outside the video?

Let's say I have a video with resolution 1920x900, I will watch it in 16:9 (1920x1080 or 1600x900).
So, there will be two black spaces on the top and the bottom of the video.
But the subtitle will only display inside the video, please take a look of the screenshot below.


Can VLC display the subtitle based on the window size instead of the video resolution?
