Q. regarding playlist operation

Postby kingtermite » 08 Nov 2016 00:22

Sorry if this is a newbie question...but although I've used VLC for a while, I've never used more than very basic features to play a file at a time. Until now.

I'm opening large playlist files of music to listen to while at work. I don't finish a playlist, I can only get a small way through it in the course of a day.

When I got to open it the next day, it starts over at the beginning and I need to go down into the playlist to find where I left off.

Maybe I'm missing it, but is there a way to open the playlist such that it opens to where you left off the last time it was opened?
Secondly, the "Media->Open Recent Media" shows the recent songs from the playlist, but not the playlist itself. Is there a way to "open recent playlist"?

If these are not available, is there a place to request the features?

Thanks.

Anybody?
Is this not possible? I used Winamp 10+ years ago with this capability.

All I want is a setting so that when I open, VLC opens with the same playlist that was loaded when I last closed it (saving spot in playlist).
