HDHomerun Live TV on VLC

I have a SiliconDust HDHR3-US network streaming device for live TV and I'd like to use VLC to watch the live TV. If I go into the Hdhomerun settings and double click on the channel, VLC opens and starts the stream and it looks great.

It's rather tedious to have to open the Hdhomerun settings first in order to open a stream of live TV. Is there any way to have the channels available from within VLC? The Hdhomerun is not listed under network devices in VLC.
