srt subtitles problem

Hello,
so I have actually no idea if the problem lies within VLC.
I wanted to download subtitles for GoT season 4, but it seems that they are delayed by like 4 minutes.
The video starts off with subs from another episode then goes to normal. I have encountered the same problem before with another episode.
Downloading a different subtitles file usually gives the same effect. There are only some exceptions that work properly.
Would be glad to get some help
