Cannot record video from MKV files in VLC

Is there any workaround for this? I can record other files just fine but MKV files only record audio.

Yep, looks like there are troubles with the recording feature in recent versions. Just wait for a fix...

Anyone ever come up with a solution to this?
I'm trying to use the record function to record a clip from an MKV file but i'm getting audio only, no video!

Use an older version (v2.0.8 or 2.1.5) or a v3.0.0 nightly build.
