Firefox / VLC users as testers wanted...

Postby MeyerK » 16 Oct 2005 11:02

Hi all,

this is my first post
I'm a big fan of VLC and have been so for the past few years. Some weeks ago I started to use it as my primary audio / mp3 player as well, as WinAmp would suddenly start to freeze my computer
My other most used app is Firefox... and so the idea came up to write a simple firefox extension that can control VLC using the HTTP interface... that's what I did yesterday. Having the HTTP interface enabled, you can now play/pause, stop and skip tracks and adjust the volume. 8)
Now I'm looking for testers who will give me feature requests and bug reports...important: I'm using the new PrefWindowV system so Firefox 1.5 Beta 2 is required...

Thanks in advance,
MeyerK

Hmm, I'm using Firefox 1.5 Beta 1...
I guess I'll upgrade and try it out.

Cool. there is a Mac OSX dashboard widget that does the same thing. it's really handy sometimes.

I'm on 1.5 beta 2, so if you let me know where I can get it, I'd be happy to give it a try.
