how to turn off desktop notification

Is there a way to turn off the annoying desktop notification that the playing media is looping and repeating? I am used to playing files in a loop but this rings the system bell each time, and is getting to be very annoying. Just a small thing really, and maybe i'm missing something obvious. I don't want to hear the sound every time it loops and plays again.
