Need some help with streaming. I have a hardware encoder that is compatible with VLC but only supports RTSP. I need to to deliver the output of this encoder to several non-VLC network clients via IP multicast. I would like to configure a VLC stream with a source of rtsp://192.168.1.230:1234 and a destination of udp://228.1.1.3:1234. I configured this several ways through the GUI all with no luck (both transcoding and non-transcoding). I confirmed with Wireshark that in all cases I could not get VLC to send multicast packets downstream.
