playlist screwed up

I use VLC on several computers - first time I've seen this issue. Just downloaded and installed 2.2.1 again. The tracks off my audio CD won't show in the playlist. Instead, the tracks from the album Rosenrot are showing - in German. The last CD I tried did the same thing only a different unknown album. ? Different CD tonight, different playlist (La quattro stagioni)
