vlc can't stream sound

Hi
I have a problem using vlc in an application. I'm trying to get data from a dvb-h device and broadcast on a local network but sometimes after a while vlc starts to work it just streams video not sound.for handling this problem I have got to restart vlc. Is there another way do u think to handle it??
