web audio live stream not playing

Hi Im trying to open this live audio stream no password login access just a free live stream.

Installed latest VLC with default settings I made no changes to settings.

The stream http address ends with .................... /news/ls.htm

It plays ok with Firefox with flash player ( flash keeps crashing) but I want to run VLC to listen and not use a browser

Do I need to approach this another way?

You need the address for the media object (MRL), not for the page.

hmmm that I cant find when I use right click on page and select INSPECT ELEMENT in Firefox 37
