Google Chrome Is any work to be done in close support NPAPI plugin web?

Some people have expressed interest, but nobody has published anything concrete.

So... it is too late now. VLC for PPAPI / NaCL will not happen in due time. Even if you had millions with which to pay a lot of developers, I don't think PPAPI support can be sorted out in less than 2 months.

What did you expect? Google published their plans to deprecate NPAPI about two years ago, if I recall correctly. Everybody had plenty of time to sponsor PPAPI support in VLC, or to migrate to something else entirely.

Nobody reacted until two months ago when NPAPI got disabled by default in Chrome. And even now, mostly people just ask if some miracle will happen. Well, no: miracles do not happen.
