How do you play youtube age restricted videos?

Postby darcontek » 29 Apr 2015 06:37

It seems like when I try to play the video, the first frame plays and then it stops. Any ideas how to make it play on VLC?

As far as I know, playing these videos requires some sort of validation/age verification. The usual schemes you hear about are based on credit card number, DOB input, or something along those lines. Neither of which VLC has the capability to store and pass on (thankfully, for so many reasons). So no, this isn't possible currently. Maybe login with a verified account and then use one of the many free YouTube downloaders out there, but that's about it.
If we can simulate real life so accurately, then isn't our reality maybe just one great big simulation as well?
