Could someone let me know if the VLC player can pull in the EPG data from a ATSC PSPC stream. I know the steam has the current program and upcoming data as I was able to extract it using another program(EPG collector). I been able to view the video without issue, I'm just hoping to populated the program guide also.

VLC using the Capture Device(ATSC) mode
ATSC tuner: HDHomerun HDTC-2US(CA)

It works in DVB, but it's not tested in ATSC.

Take a TS dump stream, and look at the detail logs.

ok, dumped a 3 min sample and reviewed the debug logs. so far nothing really jumps at me, beside the ts warning. (need to readjust my antenna better reception )
I have posted the log on past bin (http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=zs2G05Cf)

However I did notice that the there are 10 streams on this frequency, the stream 0-2 are for the 480(video, audio 1 and audio 2), stream 3-5 (video, audio 1 and audio 2) are for the 1080 version, stream 6-9 are for the Closed captions but only notice that stream 6 only displays Closed captions and the other stream do not. Should there be a stream for program data ?

I did run the file though another program to verify the EPG data. It display that that it found the EPG type using "ATSC PSIP" and "EIT" with a comment that the "Now/next not found; Schedule on PID(s) 0x31, 0x41" would this mean that I would need to get VLC to process those PID to capture the schedule ?

thx for the help

There is nothing, in your log, that VLC sees at EPG :)

so your saying that VLC does not see the EPG data. b/c the sample was to small or unable to to detect it. ?

Is there a way for me to tell VLC to look for data on the following PIDs 0x31, 0x41?

It could be both, unfortunately.
