VLC HTTP Streaming with asf container

Hello!
How can i stream a file over http so that a windows client can read the stream?
I think the Windows Media Player likes asf formats
I have tried
vlc -vvv file --sout '#asf{access=http,mux=ogg,url=host.de:8080}'
which wont work of course.
Any hints/tips/links would be great.
Thanks, Spiekey[/code]
